Visible Image ATC swap for May

Sharing today an ATC and card made as part of the Visible Image Facebook group May Swap,  sent to a Lovely lady called Marion who, believe it or not, lives a few roads away from where I grew up. Just goes to show what a small world we live in!

This was made using the stamp set Tree of Life. I have stamped the tree and leaves onto the reverse of an acrylic ATC using black Stazon and filled in the leaves using different shades of Starlights metallic paint by Imagination Crafts.

I stamped the sentiment on to rice paper and decoupaged it onto the reverse of the ATC using stamperia Collagel making sure that text was reversed so that it would be readable from the front after the big reveal

I then sprayed Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays on the reverse and heated with a heat gun until dry. By drying this way you create almost a crackled effect as the acrylic fluid splits, the next layer is to completely cover the reverse with gold Starlights which shows through those cracks. Turn it i over for the big reveal. Pretty ATC all shiny!! Almost looks like it’s been resin coated!

I cleaned my brush off onto scrap card and used this to make a topper for my matching card, stamped the same tree and leaves, coloured using the same paint and used a micron pen to drawn a scribbled border to frame it!

Why don’t you have a go!
